About the Role
Our client is building a technology-enabled consumer law firm designed around an outcome-based model where clients pay only when they win. The company is starting in personal injury, an $80B market, and has already grown to mid-seven figures in revenue and raised a $6M seed round. As Chief of Staff, you'll work directly alongside the founders as an operating partner and force multiplier for the leadership team. You'll sit at the center of the business, helping determine what matters most, creating the systems that keep the company aligned, and ensuring decisions turn into results. This is not a traditional support role. You'll be expected to have a point of view, challenge thinking when appropriate, anticipate problems before they arise, and take ownership of high-priority work without waiting for direction.
What You'll Do
Partner directly with the CEO and President to translate company priorities into clear plans, owners, timelines, and outcomes.
Own the CEO's strategic agenda, helping determine what needs attention, in what order, and by when.
Build and run the company's operating cadence, including weekly leadership meetings, monthly business reviews, and quarterly planning.
Own company-wide goal setting and tracking, identifying when priorities are off track and driving the follow-through needed to correct course.
Develop and maintain company metrics and reporting, including dashboards that provide leadership with visibility into business performance.
Lead high-priority strategic and operational projects that don't have an obvious owner.
Improve leadership communication and decision-making by ensuring decisions, priorities, and accountability are clearly documented.
Help shape internal communications and the operating culture as the organization grows.
Participate directly in strategic decision-making alongside the founders, bringing your own perspective rather than simply facilitating the conversation.
Anticipate operational and strategic challenges, identify potential solutions, and act before problems become urgent.
Create leverage wherever the business needs it most as the company's priorities evolve.
Who You Are
You have a minimum of 4–6 years of experience with a strong analytical foundation, likely including consulting, investment banking, or a similarly rigorous environment, combined with 2+ years of meaningful startup operating experience or experience working directly with a founder.
You're an operator, not simply an advisor. You have owned outcomes and can point to things that happened differently because you were responsible for them.
You have unusually high agency and are comfortable taking ownership without waiting for someone to define exactly what needs to happen.
You have strong judgment and know what requires a founder's attention, what you can solve independently, and when to escalate.
You're comfortable forming and defending a point of view, disagreeing constructively, and committing once a decision has been made.
You're exceptionally detail-oriented and consistently catch gaps, inconsistencies, and dropped follow-ups before they become problems.
You're a strong written communicator who can distill complicated thinking into clear, concise written communication.
You're comfortable creating accountability with senior, fast-moving leaders and can push for decisions and follow-through without creating unnecessary friction.
You thrive in environments where priorities move quickly, problems are ambiguous, and the expectation is that you'll figure out what needs to happen next.
You're looking for a role where you can operate close to the founders, develop significant business judgment, and have meaningful influence over how an early-stage company scales.
