About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, execution-focused Business Planning Manager to support the CEO and strengthen the effectiveness of the Executive Office. This is an opportunity for someone who has spent several years working closely with senior executives and is ready to take the next step from supporting an executive to managing the work around the executive.

You’ll sit at the center of the CEO’s priorities, helping ensure meetings are productive, decisions are documented, materials are thoughtfully prepared, and commitments turn into action. You’ll work closely with the CEO, Executive Business Partner, Executive Assistant, and leaders across the organization to create structure around a fast-moving and complex business.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, but it goes beyond organization. We’re looking for someone who understands the context behind the work, anticipates what’s needed, recognizes when something isn’t ready for executive review, and can keep priorities moving across multiple stakeholders. You’ll also manage and develop an Associate Chief of Staff, giving you the opportunity to continue building your own leadership capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the flow of information, materials, requests, and decisions into the CEO, ensuring everything is clear, complete, and ready for executive review.

  • Anticipate upcoming priorities and ensure the CEO has the context, materials, and preparation needed for important meetings and decisions.

  • Own the operating cadence around CEO and leadership meetings, including agendas, materials, decisions, action items, and follow-through.

  • Prepare and refine presentations, communications, recommendations, and board or committee materials for executive-level audiences.

  • Translate executive direction into clear next steps, owners, timelines, and follow-up while maintaining visibility across CEO-prioritized initiatives.

  • Build relationships across the organization to gather information, coordinate work, surface risks, and escalate when additional direction is needed.

  • Partner closely with the Executive Business Partner and Executive Assistant to align the CEO’s calendar, priorities, materials, and commitments.

  • Manage and develop an Associate Chief of Staff while taking ownership of special projects and continuously improving Executive Office workflows.

Who You Are

  • You have 5–7 years of progressive experience supporting a CEO, President, senior executive, or executive leadership team through executive support, executive operations, business planning, or a similar function.

  • You may have started in executive support, but your responsibilities have expanded beyond traditional administrative work into business operations, project management, executive communications, or cross-functional initiatives.

  • You are exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, but you don't simply complete tasks—you understand the context behind the work and anticipate what needs to happen next.

  • You can take an executive’s direction and turn it into a clear plan with owners, deadlines, and follow-through.

  • You are comfortable working with senior leaders and know how to follow up, ask for clarity, and surface issues professionally.

  • You are an excellent written communicator who can turn complex or incomplete information into concise, executive-ready presentations and materials.

  • You exercise strong judgment and discretion and can manage multiple priorities in a high-expectation environment where details matter.

  • You’ve mastered executive support and are ready to move closer to the business, with greater exposure to executive decision-making, enterprise priorities, and people leadership.
